The TORIN is one of ALTRA's flagship shoes since the first era. Today, it is in its 7th generation. It is a long-distance running shoe with EGO™ MAX foam that is 2 mm higher, making the foam firmer than before, more responsive, but still soft and comfortable. The fabric on the upper, tongue and heel area are adjusted to fit the foot better and have a more modern design.

  • UPPER- BREATHABLE ENGINEERED MESH UPPER

The new mesh fabric design looks beautiful and modern with different patterns on the forefoot and sides. It can ventilate and stretch better. It also provides a softer and more comfortable feeling.

  • MIDSOLE - EGO™ MAX 

Altra's new foam sole is a blend of two compound materials with different properties, in a unique proportion and formula. The result is the softest foam in the EGO™ family, with a new formula that is softer than the previous model.

  • OUTSOLE - FOOTPOD

Helps the Outsole to be flexible and fit the soles of the feet, both in terms of bones and tendons, helping to increase the efficiency of movement and foot placement while running, allowing more freedom.

  • INNER FLEX™

It is a technology that designs the Midsole into flexible grid-like grooves. The purpose is to help runners place their feet as they want while running without adding weight to the shoe or cutting off the shock-absorbing part of the Midsole unnecessarily.

  • NRS – NATURAL RIDE SYSTEM

The important features of the Midsole and Outsole are the following three distinctive characteristics: they are curved to match the shape of the metatarsal bones; Balanced Cushioning, which means the sole from the heel to the forefoot is the same height; and FootShape™, which means the forefoot has the natural shape of the human foot, not too narrow or too squeezing.
