Altra Women Olympus 6 Hiker Low GTX

Olympus, the big brother of ALTRA's trail side, has been completely revamped since the 5.0 model, becoming a true friend for long-distance travelers, especially Ultra Trail runners. The look and fit have been improved once again, becoming the 6.0 model. The selling point is the most supportive surface (33mm), the thickest and softest. The layout and arrangement of the tread on the sole have been adjusted. The result is better grip with Vibram® Megagrip ™ tread that is firm and grippy with every step. The upper material is genuine leather coated with Gore-Tex ™ that doesn't compromise even a little bit for maximum protection. The new design of the support around the Achilles tendon gives a luxurious, thick and soft feel.

Altra Olympus 6 Hiker LOW GTX model is more special than the normal model with the new waterproof coating technology Gore-Tex™ Invisible Fit, a waterproof coating that feels like the shoes are not coated. It not only prevents water from entering but also has good breathability. It is suitable for winter hikers who have to face snowy surfaces and do not want moisture to enter the shoes.

TECHNOLOGY

MIDSOLE- COMPRESSION MOLDED EVA

The midsole is made of ethylene vinyl acetate foam, a special polymer that is soft, flexible, lightweight and shock-resistant.

NRS – NATURAL RIDE SYSTEM ™

The important features of the Midsole and Outsole are the three distinctive features: they are curved to match the shape of the metatarsal bones, the Zero Drop™ platform, which means the sole from the heel to the forefoot is the same height, and the FootShape™, which means the forefoot has the natural shape of the human foot, not too narrow or too squeezing.

OUTSOLE- VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP™

Outsole using high-quality Vibram rubber technology is designed to be a unique grip button to increase grip efficiency on all surfaces, whether wet or dry. It is also durable and does not wear out easily.

TRAILCLAW

The layout and arrangement of the outsole have been revamped in the 6.0 generation. The technology that ALTRA has put into the outsole of the trail shoe is the design of the part of the sole under the metatarsal bone with special studs that are sloped at the right angle, which will help increase the efficiency of traction on all surfaces, even on muddy running tracks.

UPPER - GENUINE LEATHER + GORE-TEX™ INVISIBLE FIT TECHNOLOGY

The upper is made of genuine cowhide leather and is coated with the new GORE-TEX™ Invisible Fit waterproof technology. The coating is so thin that you won’t feel it, but it still maintains all the waterproof properties. In addition to waterproofing, controlling temperature and preventing moisture from entering the shoe, it also has good breathability at the same time.

GAITERTRAP

Altra has made wearing a gaiter (a protective cover for preventing dirt and sand from entering the shoe) easier with the Gaiter Trap, which is a loop or hook on the top of the shoe.
